Losing connections

We lose a lot of connections in our lifetime.

Mostly we outgrow many relationships because we move to other areas.

There are philosophers of life who usually say if a person is meant to be in your life they will return. I have noticed though, that many connections leave us feeling so free.

It becomes quiet once you part ways, not in a negative way but through growth.

You outgrow certain relationships because you are no longer on the same level as the people you connected with.

But there are connections that are very hard to lose, where friendships just cease to exist, it happens so abruptly that you mourn the loss of the friendship not because you fought with the person.

It is almost like they must have heard something about you and they just stopped being there.

You find it hard to salvage the connection because you have no idea what happened, it would feel awkward to try and find out what happened.

I have lost so many connections that I had to teach my heart to accept that it was over.

I am not equipped as a rookie on how I can be happy and enjoy my life without them.

But the peace of mind that I have is because I know that I gave that particular connection my all.

So this is a lesson that sometimes people outgrow the relationship with you not that there's anything wrong with you, but that they needed something more than what you could offer. - Avuyile Mngxitama-Diko #rookielifecoach
