Pear upside down cake

You will need :
3 pears cored and thinly sliced
1/2 a cup golden syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups sel raising flour (I used gluten-free)
3/4 cooking oil
4ml salt
3 lrg eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
How to:
In a deep sauce pan put the pears, brown sugar, golden syrup and cinnamon then add the boiled water. Allow to cook at medium heat until pears are soft.
Mix the eggs, oil and white sugar together until sugar is dissolved, add in the flour and salt. Beat with wooden spoon or electric mixer for a cakey consistency you can add water or milk to loosen the dough. Take a greased baking pan and and layer the pear first, then pour the dough on top of the pears. Bake at 180 ° for about 40 minutes or until golden brown. It is much better to use a loose base pan to make it easier to transfer the cake on a plate. - Avuyile Mngxitama-Diko
